Francis of Assisi
(1181/1182 – October 3, 1226) was an Italian Catholic friar and preacher. He founded the Franciscan religious order and is one of the most venerated figures in Christianity.Early Life:
- Born in Assisi, Italy to a wealthy cloth merchant
